Dorota Michalska

Dorota Michalska ( Rome, 1988 ) is a curator, writer and art historian based in Warsaw and Stockholm. She worked at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw from 2012 to 2014 as an assistant curator, focusing on Polish films from the 1960s and ‘70s. In 2015 Michalska completed CuratorLab, a nine-month curatorial research fellowship at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Sweden. Her most recent projects include a film screening, ‘ExtremelyLoud, Incredibly Close’ ( SALT Beyoğlu, Istanbul, 2014 ) and a group exhibition, ‘Through a Glass, Lightly’ ( Tensta Konsthall, Stockholm, 2015 ). She is a contributor to several Polish art magazines, such as Obieg, Szum and Dialog. Since January 2016, Michalska has been taking part in the Young Curators Residency Programme at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin, Italy.
